I am an itty bitty company of one located on the shore of Greenwich Bay in Rhode Island. One of my greatest joys in life is sitting by the window watching the sun dance on the water while I create intricate pieces of jewelry with my bunnies sleeping at my feet. I fell into this puddle of joy quite unexpectedly a couple of years ago when I decided to try to fix an old bracelet of mine... it was like opening the door and letting the sunlight come streaming in - a revelation! It awakened a talent I didn't even know I had! What luck, what bliss! Why Laughing Rabbit?? About 4 years ago, I came across the Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue website. I knew practically nothing about rabbits, much less that they are the third most common pet kept in the US, and that they're abandoned at a staggering rate. From the moment I visited the incredible shelter, met its dedicated founder Pam Hood, and met the buns, I was forever smitten, captivated, enamoured of, and forever dedicated to rabbits. There just aren't words to express the extraordinary honor of being loved and trusted by a bunny. I've been an animal lover all of my life, and never have I come across a creature as intelligent, complex and silly as a rabbit. To me, they are the ultimate companion. I urge you to visit the Sweet Binks site - it'll do wonders for broadening your horizons! There's tons of great info, wonderful adoptable rabbits, and links to still other fantastic bun related sites.

Please also be sure to visit 3 Bunnies Rabbit Rescue for more sweet bunnies needing homes, and yet more excellent info!!
A tiny bit about me....
As much as I hate to publish my dreadful picture on the internet for all to see, here it is.
My name is Serena, I'm 35 years old, blissfully married, and am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Hematology and Microbioogy (which means that I look at blood & bacteria under the microscope and help doctors diagnose disease). My father is a freelance jewelry designer - until recently, I didn't know that this is a hereditary trait ;) I'm also a vet tech, a passionate animal lover, and a strong believer in rescue and adoption. Some of my other hobbies are drawing, sewing, reading, and walking through the forest. I have 3 bunnies (Teddy, Cricket, and just lately Tiki ) and 2 chinchillas (Puffy & Squishy). Most of my time is devoted to them & my hubby John :)

At work on the torch! This is the latest in my wacky jewelry adventure. I never would have thought even a year ago that I'd be making my own lampwork beads. It's such a rush to watch the flow of molten glass, and a joy to shape it into beads for all to enjoy! Here you can see the many colors of glass rods I use, and coated mandrels immediately to my right. I'm holding a bead in the flame with my left hand, and, and have a graphite paddle in my right for shaping.
